Welcome to the course MATH 006B (Statistical Analysis with Software Applications). Thank you for enrolling in this online class for the 1st semester of the school year 2021-2022.

COURSE DESCRIPTIONS:

Why: Provide a theoretical background and practical experience to statistical methods and tools required for decision making

What: Students will understand how statistics are used and misused is vital to assimilate information as well as pursuing a career in behavioral sciences. The course will cover topics on principles of measurement, central tendency and variability, probability and distribution, hypothesis testing, t-test, anova. Chi-square, correlation and regression

How :The basic concepts of statistical analysis are worked out through practical cases and applied to the analysis of various datasets with the help of the software application.

Apply an understanding and provide a theoretical background and practical experience to statistical methods and tools required for decision making

Demonstrate their knowledge of the basics of inferential statistics by making valid generalizations from sample data

Professionally write different management decisions with an application of statistical method required for decision making
